Frequently Asked Questions

1. How many homes for children do you presently have?

We presently have 8 homes; 4 homes for boys and 4 homes for girls. Our average growth has been one home per year. We expect to continue to grow and expand as the Lord provides and leads.

How Many Children 2. How many children live in each home?

We place up to 10 children in each home. The decision of how many children are placed in a home is based on the size of the home, the needs of the children, and the ability of the parents to care for a large family. Presently, HOL cares for around 76 children.

3. Are sibling groups placed together in homes? The children in the homes are not biological siblings; therefore, we do not mix girls and boys in the same home. Siblings of the same gender are placed in homes together, as space allows. Biological brothers and sisters are placed in homes located close to each other so their bonds remain strong.

Provide For Children 4. What does HOL provide to the children living in the homes?

Homes of Love takes a holistic approach to raising children. The children are provided preventative and corrective medical treatment, educational training, emotional and spiritual support, healthy meals, clothing and personal items, and safe shelter in a loving family setting.

5. Are the children available for adoption?

Although Homes of Love whole-heartedly believes in foreign adoption, the Homes of Love children are NOT available for adoption. The vision of Homes of Love is to raise these children into a generation of young people who will remain in their country and be godly contributors in their society.

6. Can I volunteer in a Home of Love?

We do not have volunteer opportunities in the homes at this time. However, you may visit the Homes of Love children by participating in a Friends & Family trip.

Sponsor A Child 8. Can I sponsor a child?

Because Homes of Love assumes the responsibility of caring for all our children well and equally, you cannot designate a gift to a specific child. Any financial gift to HOL sill benefit and enrich your child’s life, whether it be directly or indirectly. Your relationship with your child is developed through prayer and correspondence with your child.
