Extended Family Program
Through the Extended Family Program (EFP), a child who is living in a Home of Love can become an extension of your family. The EFP is designed to allow you to develop a meaningful relationship with your HOL child through prayer and letter writing. You may also support the house parents in a similar way. The HOL parents provide love, nurture, and care as the father and mother in your child’s home. They also need your prayers for much wisdom and encouragement as they help the children understand the Father’s great love and wonderful plan for them. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to give you a hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11) Although this program is based on a relationship with your child, we do encourage you to prayerfully consider supporting HOL.
We ask you to commit to:
- pray for your child and their HOL parents
- write an annual letter to your child
Our commitment to you is to:
- send you a welcome kit containing personal information and a photo of your HOL child
- inform you of prayer requests and progress updates
- provide you with your child’s yearly letter
- forward to you any special cards, artwork, etc. that we may receive from your HOL child
Some of the blessings you will receive are:
- that he/she sees a reflection of God’s deep care and love through your involvement in his/her life
- the privilege bring able to watch, and be a part of, God’s plan for healing and restoration of your HOL child’s life
- the possibility of someday meeting your HOL child through a Friends & Family Trip
A child will be matched to those who commit to a long-term relationship.
