January 2018 Trip to Asia
Earlier this year I somehow found myself halfway across the world roaming around a Cambodian fishing village trying to figure out what we were supposed to be filming next.
With a camera in hand and all my gear on my back, I was hot, tired, and confused as to why God had me there in that moment. Why Cambodia? Why me? We were around some of the poorest people in the world, and we had the opportunity to tell a story for Homes of Love and what God was doing in this part of the world.
And then it clicked.
It wasn’t until I saw these kids in the village, sledding down the hill in old drink crates having the time of their lives. They were smiling, laughing, and didn’t have a worry in the world. God painted a beautiful picture of what his love looks like from the inside out.
It became clear that we were there to use our gifts to help communicate these moments to others who love and support this ministry. I’ve loved traveling this past year and seeing the world, but this trip truly made an impact on my heart. Excited to see the next journeys God takes us on.
Proud to work alongside Tyler Hays to help tell this story. Thanks to the rest of the HOL team who helped make this project a success! Hope you enjoy!
