Meet Homes of Love Cambodia #1!
After two years in Cambodia, we are overjoyed to introduce our first Homes of Love family! Pictured in the first image above are parents Kha and Trinh with new Homes of Love children Leakena (22), David (16), and Mary (12).
Kha and Trinh are Khmer, members of the Baptist church in Cambodia, and considered leaders in their community. They were not able to have biological children but have always had a heart to give a loving home to children in need.
Also joining Homes of Love Cambodia is Thavy Kim (Pictured in the second image above with our new HOL children).
Thavy Kim will work part-time as In-Country Coordinator, fulfilling a requirement of the Cambodian government that HOL employ a person with Khmer citizenship.
Thavy Kim is a faithful Christian with a heart for children. She recently graduated with a degree in legal studies. She is fluent in English, Khmer, and Vietnamese and has a thorough understanding of the laws in Cambodia. She is an answer to prayer and will be an enormous blessing to Homes of Love!
We can see God's hand writing the story of Homes of Love Cambodia as far back as 1968, and this first home is the fruit of many years of prayer. May this be the start of many children's lives being changed and restored through the love of Jesus abiding in families!
One way you can help welcome these children is to participate as an Extended Family Partner. Each child will need someone to write one letter per year and commit to praying regularly for him or her. There is no financial commitment required. We have seen God use these relationships in sweet, special ways! To add one of these children to your family, contact us.
