Higher Education Partnership Program

At Homes of Love, we believe God intends for every child to grow up in a family—and just like in biological families, that commitment lasts a lifetime. For more than 25 years, we’ve watched children in our homes grow up, graduate, and step into God’s calling for their lives.

As our ministry has grown, so has our commitment to help students pursue college and vocational training. Just like in any family, older children come with greater expenses. That’s why we’ve launched the Higher Education Partnership Program.

About our Program

Connects generous partners with students working hard to pursue their education Designed to empower students raised in Homes of Love to thrive in trade school, college, and university. Your support covers tuition, housing, books, an annual student retreat, and guidance from a designated in-country staff member who serves as a resource throughout the student’s college journey. Through this program, our students are not only financially supported, they are also spiritually and emotionally championed.

Why Higher Education Matters

In Vietnam, only about 30% of young people enroll in higher education, with financial need being one of the biggest barriers. Educated adults support their families, care for elders, and invest in their churches and communities. One degree can change an entire family’s future. A college degree can triple lifetime earnings and reduce the likelihood of poverty long-term.

Frequently Asked Questions

Could I ever travel to meet my student?
We love that you’re interested in connecting more deeply! While international travel isn't a guaranteed part of the program, Homes of Love does organize trips to visit our homes and students. If you're interested in travel opportunities, let us know and we’d love to keep you informed about future trips.
What happens if my student pauses their schooling or drops out?
If your student’s education is delayed or interrupted for any reason, we’ll let you know right away. In some cases, students may take a break due to health, family, or academic challenges. If your student is no longer able to continue their program, you’ll have the opportunity to be matched with another student in need of support.
What happens after I choose a student and set up giving?
Once your student receives their official school placement and acceptance, you’ll get a detailed profile along with a special message from them. From there, we’ll keep you updated throughout the year so you can stay connected and pray for them as they pursue their degree.
Can I communicate with the student I sponsor?
Yes! As a sponsor, you’ll receive a letter from your student once a year and have the opportunity to write back. Our hope is for every sponsor to share words of encouragement and prayer, as we know students are deeply impacted by the relationship and support.
How is my donation used?
Your monthly gift covers the essential costs of a student’s education through tuition, housing, books, supplies, transportation, and basic living expenses. In addition to financial support, students receive in-country mentoring, spiritual encouragement, and connection with a trusted adult who walks with them through their college journey.
